In the words of Hilary Tetlow...

“As a parent of a child with severe learning difficulties, I worried about my son’s future; I was dismayed by the lack of facilities available in the area and knew that a day centre was not appropriate for him. Having had such wonderful individual care at a local special school, I wanted something similar—a place with a holistic approach to care-giving; a place where my son could be safe, stimulated, engage in activities appropriate for his age and needs, and with peers who have similar needs. I wanted something special—a place where he would be treated as an individual and his needs would be met. I did not want him to become institutionalised or lost in a large, impersonal facility. Locally provided care was equally important. I wanted open and easy access to enable him to maintain relationships with friends and family. I wanted the freedom to visit him and for him to be able spend quality time with our family. Such a place did not exist, at least not until now!”

Rainbow’s End is such a place!!!
